A chance meeting on an October day in 2003 seemed rather serendipitous at the time: Serena Dugan -- a textile designer and artist -- met Lily Kanter, a baby boutique owner and savvy businesswoman. It wasn't simply the advantageous fit of designer with businesswoman that made sparks fly that day -- it was Serena and Lily's shared aesthetic and shared vision of the baby's room reinvented. Dreaming of fresh, style-driven children's spaces -- with dynamic color and pattern combination --timeless and comfortable through sophistication and simplicity, Serena and Lily's first collections were released 8 short months later, with a look for the nursery that turned the industry on its side. As Serena and Lily continues to expand -- into children's furnishings, adult spaces and more -- Serena and Lily is driven far beyond their love of great design and has vowed to make a difference in the world: A portion of product sales are given back to the world that our children will inherit.
